On December 17, the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 440 on awarding the 2025 special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "Belarusian Sports Olympus". This was reported to BELTA by the Press Service of the President.
For significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sports, active promotion of physical culture and sports, development of physical culture and sports traditions that contribute to the formation of a harmonious personality, the special prize is awarded to the Presidential Sports Club, Ivan Litvinovich, and Spartak Mironovich.

The Presidential Sports Club is honored with this high award for its significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sports, the implementation of numerous comprehensive programs to improve the material and technical base of sports schools and infrastructure within walking distance for physical culture activities, and the organization of large-scale sports projects and competitions.

Ivan Litvinovich, Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus of International Class, is a two-time Olympic champion, multiple winner of world championships in team competitions, silver medalist of the World Championship, World Cup winner, European champion in team competitions, and winner and silver medalist of the 3rd CIS Games in 2025.

Honored Coach of the USSR and BSSR Spartak Mironovich headed the Belarusian men's handball team from 1992 to 2008. Under his leadership, eight players from the handball club "SKA-Minsk" became Olympic champions as part of national teams, the USSR handball team won Olympic gold twice (1988 and 1992), the handball club "SKA-Minsk" became the owner of the European Champions Cup three times (1987, 1989, and 1990), twice - the Cup Winners' Cup (1983 and 1988), and the Challenge Cup (2013).
