Lukashenko on the Year of Belarusian Women: For the First Time, Not Just a Theme for the Year Was Chosen, But Its Symbol
For the first time in the sovereign history of Belarus, not just a theme for the year was chosen, but its symbol. This was stated by the head of state Alexander Lukashenko on January 13 at a reception on behalf of the President of Belarus on Old New Year's Day, according to a BELTA correspondent.
The President, summing up the past year, called it successful and largely significant. Although there was a possibility that 2025 could have been difficult and unsuccessful. But Belarusians, according to the head of state, united and did everything to prevent this from happening. "And we must do everything to make the coming year better. This is the meaning of our lives. Especially since for the first time in our sovereign history, we have chosen not just a theme for the year, we have chosen a symbol for this year," emphasized Alexander Lukashenko. According to him, this decision was very positively received not only by women themselves but also by men. "The Year of Belarusian Women should be special," stated the President.
Alexander Lukashenko congratulated everyone on the winter holidays, wishing them health, happiness, well-being, and joy. "May this festive reception be an evening of pleasant surprises, long-awaited gifts, and only good news," he said.
