Марафон скандинавской ходьбы «Шаг к долголетию» собрал активных и спортивных земляков в центральном парке Бешенкович

On the eve of the Day of the Elderly: the IV Republican Nordic Walking Marathon "Step Towards Longevity", held as part of the "Respect. Care. Responsibility" campaign, brought together active and sporting fellow countrymen in the central park of Beshenkovichi.

A dozen and a half representatives of the "silver" age, including visitors of the day care department for the elderly and volunteers of the Territorial Center for Social Services, competed in walking skills. Pleasant conversation, subtle humor, smiles, a short warm-up, and then – let's go! As in the song, it's fun to walk together. Watch the video of how it was on the Telegram channel "Beshenkovichi. News. Zara".

The top three include Vladimir Grigoryevich Kukhto, Valentina Leonovna Petukhova, and Lyudmila Stanislavovna Vodneva. The most athletic residents of Beshenkovichi were awarded certificates by the FSC "Dvina".

The oldest participant of the marathon is 74 years old! Galina Kuzminichna Mozgo is always among the most active volunteers of the TSSON; she has been engaged in walking for 3 years.

"One day I came to the conclusion that this type of physical activity is to my liking, I want to do it," notes Galina Kuzminichna. "It is very beneficial for health. When after a few sessions you see the first successes, it is inspiring. Some people normalize their blood pressure, sugar, weight. But everyone is guaranteed to feel better and their mood improves, because movement is life!"
