Large-scale investment project at BelVitunipharma planned for implementation by 2030

A large-scale investment project at the BelVitunipharma enterprise is planned for implementation by 2030. This was announced to journalists by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, following a meeting with the President of BelarusHowever, there are certain difficulties with another resource – financial – and they have been discussed at the head of state level. According to the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, final options for funding sources will be prepared and presented to the President in the near future. At the same time, the idea of attracting a foreign investor has been abandoned, as the biopharmaceutical sector is highly sensitive in terms of security. "We must be cautious. Because this is the biological safety of the country, people, and animals. Biotechnology is the future of humanity. Therefore, here we must play the first fiddle, or we will not exist in the future," noted Alexander Subbotin.

Regarding the implementation timeline of the investment project, he explained: "Everything should be in place and operational by 2030." By this time, it is planned to complete the construction of a vaccine production plant and integrate the purchased equipment into the production of recombinant veterinary drugs, as well as to design and build a plant for the production of biotechnological anti-cancer drugs based on monoclonal antibodies and nasal vaccines on a full cycle basis.
