The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds about forest safety

During periods of sustained high air temperatures in summer, the country's forests are at risk of fire. For this reason, restrictions or bans on forest access are introduced in various regions of Belarus.
— The decision to introduce restrictions or bans on forest access is made by the local district executive committee upon the request of structures of the Ministry of Forestry and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus. These decisions specify the procedure and conditions for introducing restrictions or bans on forest access without setting exact dates; these dates depend on weather conditions and the onset of a particular fire hazard class. Today, such decisions have also been made in the Beshenkovichi district.
Restrictions on forest access are introduced at hazard class 3. A complete ban on forest access is applied at hazard classes 4 and 5.
What is the difference between a ban on forest access and a restriction?
With restrictions, you can enter the forest for walks, to gather mushrooms or berries. Driving into the forest area is prohibited, as is making fires.
The prohibition means that a citizen is not allowed to visit the forest under any circumstances.
For those who violate the decision of the district executive committee, there is a penalty: a fine of up to 12 basic units. In case you not only found yourself in the forest during the fire hazard period, but also due to your fault, forest plantations were destroyed or damaged, the fine can be up to 30 basic units, and the violator will also have to compensate for the damage to the forest fund.
Such strict restrictions are due to the human factor. Judge for yourself: according to statistics, out of 100 forest fire cases, 90 are caused by human fault. To protect our green wealth during the fire hazard period, state bodies are taking such measures.
In conclusion, we can conclude: before visiting the forest, make sure that visiting forests in your region is not prohibited or restricted; if such measures are provided, it is better to stay at home.
