From February 26 to March 7, a comprehensive set of preventive measures aimed at preventing cybercrimes will be held in the Vitebsk region.

Insufficient digital literacy and excessive trust among citizens have led to an increase in property theft through modification of computer information. The main methods of committing crimes remain "phishing" and "vishing," and the installation of remote access software.

During the cybersecurity decade, law enforcement officers will give presentations in work collectives of organizations and enterprises, and in educational institutions. They will talk about how not to become a victim of cybercriminals. As part of the residential sector outreach, individual conversations will be held with citizens and the most vulnerable category – elderly people living alone.
