The start of the swimming season – under the supervision of lifeguards

With the aim of preventing deaths on the water, as well as conducting informational and explanatory work among the population, employees of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations jointly conducted a preventive raid on the most popular swimming spots in the Beshenkovichi district.
The calendar shows the first days of astronomical summer, which means the long-awaited swimming season has arrived. To the delight of numerous children, the weather pleases with warm sunshine, under the warm rays of which one wants to plunge into the cool water. Despite the fact that the water has not warmed up enough, rescuers have already managed to find the most desperate children who have been swimming since early spring.
– Despite the fact that you already swim quite well, there is a huge danger of getting injured, – explained Daria Beresten, inspector of the propaganda and public relations sector of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations, to the children. – Most often, swimmers are let down by excessive self-confidence and the desire to test their strength. Therefore, it is worth not only remembering the rules of conduct on the water, but also swimming only in designated areas.
However, it was not only swimmers who came into the rescuers' view, as it never hurts to remind them of the danger that water holds. Even fishermen who are on the shore may decide to cool off on a hot summer day, forgetting about the dangerous current or the presence of pits and whirlpools at the bottom.
Rescuers once again reminded parents of the inadmissibility of leaving children unattended. Near water, people should be no less attentive and cautious than when using fire or crossing a road.
