On the eve of the New Year holidays, the police of the Beshenkovichi district are switching to an enhanced duty mode

In the Beshenkovichi district, during the Christmas and New Year holidays, police officers will be on duty in an enhanced mode. Law enforcement officers will take all measures to ensure public order and prevent emergencies during the festive days.

"Of course, the emphasis will be on preventive work, but a response will follow if a citizen is disruptive or hooligan. A sense of proportion and common sense must prevail in everything. We appeal to the citizens and guests of the region to treat the measures taken with understanding," emphasized the head of the Department of Internal Affairs, Oleg Matesha, and reminded about the rules of conduct in places of mass gatherings.

Citizens are obliged to:

maintain and preserve public order;

refrain from actions that may lead to extreme situations and endanger others;

treat the structures and equipment of the event venue with care;

behave respectfully towards other citizens, service personnel, officials responsible for maintaining public order and safety during mass events;

comply with the lawful requirements of law enforcement officers and other persons responsible for maintaining order and fire safety during the event;

park vehicles in designated areas;

upon receiving evacuation information, act according to the instructions of internal affairs officers, facility administration, or persons responsible for ensuring law and order, remain calm and do not cause panic.

 

Prohibited:

to make shouts or other actions that offend the honor and dignity of other people;

to carry prohibited items and substances, firearms and cold weapons, piercing, cutting, as well as other items that can be used to inflict bodily harm, pyrotechnic devices, flammable, poisonous and irritating substances for human mucous membranes, alcoholic beverages, beer, drinks and products in glass and metal containers;

to carry bulky packages, bags, suitcases and other items that hinder other participants, as well as the normal conduct of a mass event;

to consume alcoholic beverages or appear in a state of intoxication in public places.

The police are appealing to parents who plan to attend public festivities with children. Do not leave young children unattended, as a child can easily get lost in the crowd at mass event venues. Children under 16 years of age may only be in public places after 11 PM when accompanied by adults.

— On the eve of the holidays, we urge residents of the district to be more attentive to the purchase and use of pyrotechnics, — emphasizes O. Matesha. — It is recommended to purchase firecrackers and fireworks exclusively in specialized stores and other departments where certified products are sold. Before use, carefully read the instructions. When choosing a place to launch fireworks, select a large open area, and there should be no car parks, wires, or residential buildings nearby. Pyrotechnic devices are prohibited for use at mass event venues, in buildings, and premises. Intentional use of pyrotechnics on streets and in courtyards with clear disrespect for society, violation of public order and citizens' peace, entails administrative liability under Art. 19.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses ("Petty hooliganism").

Dear adults, to prevent accidents, please conduct preventive discussions with children! Explain that launching pyrotechnics is a dangerous pastime that can lead to tragic consequences, and it is unacceptable to use such items independently, without adult supervision! Do not store firecrackers and fireworks in places accessible to children!
