Inflicted blows on an internal affairs officer to obstruct his lawful activities: the Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office supported the state prosecution

With the participation of the Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor S.A. Urbanovich, a criminal case concerning the use of violence against a police officer was heard at an on-site court session in the Internal Affairs Department of the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee, in the presence of citizens with prior convictions and those prone to committing offenses.

According to the case materials, in December 2025, a 47-year-old accused woman – a milking machine operator at one of the district's agricultural enterprises – appeared at her workplace under the influence of alcohol after consuming alcoholic beverages, where she caused a scandal with the head of the enterprise. Subsequently, police officers who arrived following a report of an offense escorted her to the Internal Affairs Department for investigation. While in the foyer of the district department building, she twice struck a police officer, who was on duty, in the head area, causing him physical pain and battery.

Based on the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the Beshenkovichi District Court found the accused guilty of using violence against an internal affairs officer to obstruct his lawful activities, and in accordance with Article 364 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, sentenced her to 2 years of restriction of liberty without referral to an open-type correctional institution.

The court's verdict has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed and protested in appellate procedure.
