Remind about safety – it never hurts
Today, Vitaly Ryabenko, Deputy Head of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations, met with the work collectives of the Ostrovno Secondary School and the "Serebryany Rodnik" recreation center.
The weather is not very winter-like right now: there is a stable thaw, which means that the danger of death and injury to adults and children on water bodies is increasing. Frozen by the evening or night cold, the ice is still capable of withstanding a small load, but during the day, quickly warming up from the meltwater seeping through it, it becomes porous and very weak, although it retains sufficient thickness.
While talking with the work collectives, Vitaly Viktorovich reminded them of the dangers of ice fishing and the importance of not leaving children unattended for a moment.
- Not so long ago, in the city of Polotsk, two boys drowned in the Western Dvina River – they also, at some point, were left without adult supervision. And, it would seem, the danger is obvious, however, childish curiosity took over, and this led to a terrible tragedy.
The EMERCOM employee once again reminded everyone of the importance of observing all safety measures, both at home and at work, and urged those present to once again consider the price of a moment.
