Violations of Anti-Corruption Legislation Requirements are Unacceptable

During its supervisory activities, the District Prosecutor's Office noted that corruption and economic offenses are characteristic of virtually all spheres of activity in the district. The main reasons for the violations of anti-corruption legislation requirements identified in 2021 were the negligent attitude of responsible employees of economic entities towards their duties, as well as insufficient control by the management of these entities over their work.

The District Prosecutor's Office, in particular, identified instances where local acts adopted by a number of organizations, regulating procurement procedures using their own funds, did not comply with legislative requirements. There were also instances of inadequate market analysis and, as a consequence, incorrect selection of the winner.

In 2021, the District Prosecutor's Office conducted 5 inspections of compliance with anti-corruption legislation requirements, resulting in more than 12 acts of prosecutorial response.

For the violations committed, 24 officials were brought to disciplinary responsibility, 2 individuals to administrative responsibility, and 3 individuals to material responsibility. The damage caused was fully compensated at the prosecutor's request.

The District Prosecutor's Office continuously monitors the implementation of the prosecutor's requirements set forth in acts of prosecutorial supervision, and the actual elimination of the violations, causes, and conditions contributing to them. No violations regarding non-compliance with the prosecutor's requirements were identified in 2021.
