Violated the established procedure for animal sales

The Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against an official of one of the agro-industrial complex enterprises in the district.

During the trial, it was established that the chief veterinarian of the district's agricultural enterprise, in violation of veterinary and sanitary legislation, in December 2024, gave illegal instructions for the slaughter of 2 head of cattle on the territory of a livestock facility that did not have a specialized slaughtering area, after which he organized the delivery of the carcasses of the said slaughtered animals to a meat processing enterprise.

Based on the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the Beshenkovichi District Court found the accused guilty of intentionally committing acts by an official that clearly exceeded the rights and powers granted to him by service, resulting in significant harm to the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, state, and public interests (abuse of official authority), committed out of mercenary and other personal interest, and in accordance with Part 2 of Article 426 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, sentenced him to 2 years of imprisonment without a fine, with deprivation of the right to hold positions related to organizational, administrative, and economic duties for a period of 2 years, with a deferral of the execution of the appointed main and additional punishment for 2 years.

The Beshenkovichi District Court also ordered him to perform 100 hours of socially useful work in his free time.

The court's verdict has entered into force.
