Do not forget about the dangers of resting near reservoirs!

The swimming season has officially opened in the Vitebsk region. However, along with the opportunity to have a pleasant time, there are many dangers that many people do not pay attention to.

As of May 17, 2023, 20 people, including 1 child, have drowned in the region. 5 people were rescued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and 1 person was rescued by the public. For the same period in 2022, 11 people drowned in the region, and 9 people were rescued, including 3 children.

Dear parents! Summer is a wonderful time for relaxation, positive emotions, and vivid impressions. But it is also the most dangerous period for children. Therefore, do everything you can to protect your child from trouble. Try to make your vacation as safe as possible, stay close to your children, and take care of them.

We want to pay special attention to the safety of teenagers near water bodies. They sometimes behave too carelessly, overconfidently, run and fool around near the water, not

feeling no danger.Parents must understand that, regardless of the child's age, whether a preschooler or a student, they should not be near water without adult supervision. And it is the parents who are obliged to talk to their children about everything that can happen, warn about the dangers, and explain the consequences:

On June 07, 2022, a tragedy occurred in the Krupki district. As established, a 14-year-old girl was walking with her sister and friend near a body of water in the agro-town of Khotyuovo, Krupki district. At some point, she slipped and fell into the water. A man who was nearby helped to pull her out of the water, but the teenager was already without signs of life. Medics who arrived at the scene, despite the resuscitation measures taken, could not save her - the girl died on the way to the hospital.

Important! Rules for

for parents:

- do not let your child go to the beach alone;

- do not lose sight of them when they are swimming (do not rely on the fact that the child is already grown up and swims well);

- choose a equipped beach, as there are lifeguards on duty there.

We would like to emphasize once again that the most important thing parents should remember is that children should not be left unattended near water. This is a rule that all adults are obliged to strictly follow. Unfortunately, young children left unattended by adults often drown in water:

May 18, 2022 an accident occurred in the village of Zamostochye, Dokshitsy district: a child drowned. According to preliminary data, the girl was in the yard of the house with her relatives. After some time, the child disappeared from view. The parents rushed to search for her and found her in a body of water located behind the house. Resuscitation measures were unsuccessful. It was not possible to save the girl, who was supposed to turn two years old in June.

Not only large bodies of water, but also decorative ponds, and even containers with water pose a danger, especially to a small child. Only parents who are aware of the potential dangers and take them seriously, no matter how rare and unlikely they may seem, can protect their child from misfortune. When you are near water with children, you cannot lose vigilance for a minute:

April 05, 2021 emergency

произошло in. Novogrudok District.. A one-year-old boy drowned in a barrel of water. As it turned out, the child, who was one year and four months old, drowned in a barrel containing only about 30 centimeters of water. Medics arrived at the scene of the emergency, however, they could not revive the baby and pronounced him dead.

Important! Do not lose sight of children playing near water bodies. It is best if a child plays in the water with adults - only then can you be completely sure of their safety. If you do notparticipate in games, ensure the child remains within your sight.
