The Beshenkovichi District Inspectorate for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection informs that on May 14, 2023, Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 93 of April 10, 2023 "On the Procedure for Handling Scrap and Waste of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals" came into force.

On May 27, 2023, Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 341 of May 24, 2023 "On the Implementation of Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 93 of April 10, 2023" came into force, which approved the Regulations on the Procedure for Accounting, Storage, Use, and Supply (Shipment) of Scrap and Waste of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals.

Please note that, according to the aforementioned resolution, the storage period for scrap metal generated by entities in the course of their economic activities does not exceed one month from the moment a single transport unit (vehicle, depending on the method of removal used by the entity) is formed.

Violation of legislative requirements in the field of waste management entails administrative liability in accordance with Part 3 of Article 16.44 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus.
