On the safety of villagers
For many village residents, the arrival of a mobile shop is the only time when fellow villagers can share thoughts, get the latest news, and discuss pressing issues. That is precisely why locals usually gather around the mobile shop, a fact that rescuers from the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations took advantage of.
As part of the first stage of the Republican campaign "Safety in Every Home!", rescuers conducted a raid with a mobile shop in the settlements of the Verkhnekrivinsky rural council. The rescuers strove to explain in a simple and understandable manner to the rural residents the dangers of stove heating, what an overheated stove can lead to, and why items should not be stored near heating appliances.
The issue of a reliable assistant in detecting fires – the autonomous fire alarm – also did not go unnoticed. This seemingly inconspicuous device has saved more than one life. Employees of the District Department for Emergency Situations provided examples of the fire alarm's "merits" to those present. It was gratifying to hear that some citizens already have one installed. Those who do not have such an indispensable assistant in their homes were encouraged to purchase one from the mobile shop.
The majority of fires occur in residential areas. This is precisely why rescuers emphasize the importance of maintaining one's home in a fire-safe condition!
