About sampling points at emission sources

   In the new edition of EcoNiP 17.01.06-001-2017 "Environmental Protection and Nature Management. Environmental Safety Requirements" (https://pravo.by/document/?guid=12551&p0=W22339485p&p1=1&p5=0 ), at the initiative of the State Institution "RCAC", the requirements for sampling and measurement points have been revised, as a result of which a number of emission sources, whose sampling and measurement points did not comply with EcoNiP in the edition valid until March 1, 2023, may comply with the current requirements, and vice versa - sources that previously complied with the requirements may not comply with the requirements of the new edition of EcoNiP.
     For reference:
  By Resolution of the Ministry of Natural Resources dated 21.10.2022 No. 23-T, EcoNiP has been set out in a new edition, which provides for the clarification of requirements for sampling and measurement points. For example:
- specific internal diameters of measuring ports have been established depending on the composition of the exhaust gases (previously such requirements were absent);
- requirements for the diameter of the flue gas duct have been changed in cases where the installation of two measuring ports located opposite each other is required (in the new edition 2 meters, previously - 1.5 meters);
- requirements for the installation of measuring ports for the determination of persistent organic pollutants have been established (previously such requirements were absent);
- for existing facilities, the possibility of using mobile working platforms as a working platform is provided (previously, the use of temporary working platforms was allowed, while such platforms had to be attached with guy wires or supports to the load-bearing structure of the flue gas duct), etc.
