On conducting a monitoring of the fire safety status of the Beshenkovichi MPP of the branch of OJSC "Lepel Dairy and Canned Goods Plant" OJSC "Vitebsk Meat Packing Plant", located at: Beshenkovichi district, urban settlement Beshenkovichi, Abazovskogo str., 2.

From 22.02.23 to 24.02.2023, the supervision and prevention sector of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations conducted a monitoring of compliance with fire safety legislation, including the mandatory requirements of technical regulatory legal acts of the fire safety regulation and standardization system of the Beshenkovichi low-capacity receiving point of the Lepel Condensed Milk Plant branch of Vitebsk Meat Packing Plant OJSC, located at: Beshenkovichi district, urban-type settlement Beshenkovichi, Abazovsky str., 2 (site manager – Okunevich Alexander Sergeevich).

Following the monitoring, violations of fire safety requirements were identified that do not pose a threat to national security, harm to the life and health of the population, or the environment, namely:

combustible materials (firewood) are stored in the fire separation zone between the compressor building and the fence;

the fire hose reel in the boiler room is not kept in a state of readiness for use (not equipped with a hose and nozzle);

in the milk truck washing facility, the fire extinguisher is in a faulty and inoperable condition (used, seal broken);

the locks on the doors of the production building, located on evacuation routes (doors separating the corridor, external evacuation doors), do not ensure the possibility of their free opening from the inside without a key;

evacuation exits in the production building are not marked with fire safety signs as required by technical regulatory legal acts;

electrical equipment (refrigerator in the production workshop laboratory) is connected to the electrical network not in accordance with their operating documentation, using an extension cord;

there is no fire safety information stand.

The causes and conditions contributing to the commission of the specified violations were the insufficient knowledge of the facility officials regarding the requirements of regulatory legal acts in the field of fire safety, and the formal attitude towards the performance of their direct official duties by the head and officials of the business entity.

During the monitoring, a presentation was made to the work collective of the section on issues of ensuring fire safety at work and at home.

Recommendations were sent to the head of the business entity, deadlines were set for the implementation of the proposed fire safety measures, and information was to be provided to the Beshenkovichi Department of Emergency Situations for control over the implementation of the proposed fire safety measures.

The Beshenkovichi Department of Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with Article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Fire Safety", heads and other officials of organizations in the field of fire safety are obliged to ensure fire safety and the fire safety regime in their respective organizations.
