On the issuance of a certificate for victims of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster and other radiation accidents

The Ministry of Emergency Situations, in accordance with the instruction of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated July 28, 2020, No. 33/510-201/338, and in response to inquiries from individual citizens seeking clarification on the status of a participant in the Chernobyl NPP disaster cleanup in the certificate of a victim of the Chernobyl NPP disaster, other radiation accidents (hereinafter referred to as the certificate), makes the following recommendations.
When filling out the certificate forms issued to citizens who have been officially granted the status of a participant in the Chernobyl NPP disaster cleanup, it is proposed to reflect, along with the article of the Law indicating benefits, information that the holder of the certificate is a cleanup participant (an example is attached).
The certificate can be issued in this manner both upon the citizen's initial application for a certificate and to those who currently hold certificates.
Participants in the Chernobyl NPP disaster cleanup who hold certificates shall be issued a duplicate upon their application in the established manner, which shall be processed taking into account the clarified entry. Such a duplicate shall be issued in exchange for the existing certificate, which shall be withdrawn and attached to the personal file of the Chernobyl NPP disaster cleanup participant.
