Close Attention to Citizens' Appeals

The Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office pays close attention to working with citizens' appeals. In the first half of 2018, the Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office received 52 written appeals from citizens. More appeals were received on issues concerning: compliance with legislation during administrative proceedings, housing, land, and pension legislation, protection of citizens' rights and freedoms, criminal and civil judicial oversight, and actions and decisions of inquiry bodies.
In March 2018, the district prosecutor's office conducted an analysis of citizens' appeals received by the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee, which revealed that one of the most common types of appeals concerned housing and communal services.
The results of the analysis prompted an examination of the organization of work at the Beshenkovichi Communal Services Unitary Enterprise (UKP ZhKKh "Beshenkovichsky Kommunalnik") regarding the review of appeals from citizens and legal entities, and compliance with the requirements of Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 2 of December 27, 2006, "On Debureaucratization of the State Apparatus and Improving the Quality of Life Support for the Population."
During the inspection, violations of current legislation were identified in the processing of appeals from citizens and legal entities, the preparation of responses to applicants, and the organization of record-keeping for applicants' appeals, committed by officials of the Beshenkovichi Communal Services Unitary Enterprise (UKP ZhKKh "Beshenkovichsky Kommunalnik").
Following the inspection, the district prosecutor's office submitted a representation to the director of the Beshenkovichi Communal Services Unitary Enterprise (UKP ZhKKh "Beshenkovichsky Kommunalnik") regarding the elimination of violations of legislation on citizens' appeals. This representation was considered, the identified violations were rectified, and three officials were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
