Обсудили вопросы благоустройства в сельских населенных пунктах Бешенковичского района

The issues of improving order in rural settlements in the Beshenkovichi district are always relevant and are under constant control of the authorities, and in the Year of Improvement, they acquire special significance. What has been done and what is planned to be done in terms of improving order in the territory of the Ostrovenskoye village council was discussed at the district headquarters for improvement in the local SDC.

The report on the work done was presented by the chairman of the village executive committee, Andrey Gankovich, and co-rapporteurs were heads of services, each reporting on their area of responsibility.

Currently, there are 36 settlements in the territory of the Ostrovenskoye village council. The population is 1178 people. Of these, 122 are preschool and school-aged children, 667 are of working age, and 389 are pensioners.

For the current period of the year, together with the land management department, 256 land plots have been inspected, and based on the identified violations in terms of improving order on the land, 129 orders have been issued. If these orders are not fulfilled or are improperly fulfilled, administrative measures are applied.

«The landscaping work in the agro-town of Ostrovno is carried out by organizations responsible for the territories,» emphasized Andrey Gankovich. — The teams of Ostrovno Secondary School named after K. A. Abazovsky, UKP ZhKH "Beshenkovichi Kommunalnik", and SUP "Vyaderovo" are performing them conscientiously. Territories of villages are also assigned to organizations and institutions located in the district. Workers employed in landscaping from the Employment Center were engaged in cleaning up unauthorized landfills (25 of them have been cleared this year), mowing public lands, cutting down trees and shrubs, cleaning cemeteries, and mechanically removing Sosnowsky hogweed and Canadian goldenrod. More than 12 thousand rubles have been allocated for these works, and almost all of them have been utilized. The utility service workers provide significant assistance in mowing the territories. The latter are also involved in maintaining the street road network of settlements; in 2025, work was carried out to profile the streets of the settlements of Gorodno, Vyaderovo, and Ostrovno».

Local residents are also involved in the work of tidying up the land. The rules for landscaping are explained to them at village meetings. Joint efforts, for example, were made to clean cemeteries, improve military glory monuments, and plant trees (80 trees and 90 shrubs were planted).

In execution of Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 116 of March 24, 2021 "On the alienation of residential houses in rural areas and improving work with vacant houses," 11 vacant houses were included in the register of vacant houses in the rural council in 2025. 4 of them have already been demolished. Documentation is being collected for another 12 houses.

The Year of Improvement is designed to unite the efforts of the state and society to further improve the quality of life. Much has been done in Ostrovno, a village of the future, recently. Natural gas has been supplied to the agro-town. Fiber-optic communication lines have been built here, and all subscribers in Ostrovno, which is more than 200 subscribers, have been switched to fiber optics. Local residents have the opportunity to heat their homes with electricity (in 2022-2023, 13.6 kilometers of power grids were reconstructed here). Last year, this work was carried out in the village of Dolgoe (1.7 km), this year – in the villages of Pushkari and Beloe (3.5 km). Currently, network reconstruction is underway in Prividvinye (total length 8.2 km). In the coming years, the settlements of Vyaderevo and Novoselki are included in the schedule.
To maintain the local road network in good operational condition, employees of the DRSU-110 branch are carrying out road repair work. During the implementation of the "Roads of Belarus" program for 2021-2025, asphalt pavement with a length of 18.9 kilometers has been repaired in the Ostrovensky village council. All settlements with central water supply are equipped with water treatment units. Modernization of problematic sections of the water supply network is planned. The issue of transferring water supply facilities managed by various economic entities to the balance of UP "Vitebskoblvodo-kanal" was also discussed at the meeting. The measures taken to involve unused property in economic circulation were also discussed.

"Coordination of activities of all interested services is important in maintaining order and improving the territory," noted the head of the district, Galina Unukovich. "The chairman of the village executive committee must keep his finger on the pulse and be able to find optimal solutions to emerging problems."

At the same time, the improvement and tidying up of the land has been and remains the responsibility not only of state administration bodies, but also of the population. "We need to talk to people, explain that maintaining cleanliness and sanitary order in settlements is the moral duty of every citizen," emphasized Galina Unukovich.
