The next reporting and election conference of the district organization of the NGO "Belarusian Red Cross Society" was held in Beshenkovichi.
The event was attended by the Chairperson of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Red Cross Society, Galina Zhelanova, and her deputy, Mikhail Merzlyak.
Among the main agenda items was the report on the activities of the district organization of the BRCS and the audit commission for the five-year period. Also, the election of members of the presidium and its reserve staff, the chairperson of the presidium, and the chairperson of the district organization. During the conference, the audit commission and its reserve staff, as well as delegates to the conference of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the BRCS, were elected.
During the conference, the organization's work was widely presented: participation in various events and campaigns, and implementation of activities in all directions. Beshenkovichi regional organization of the Belarusian Red Cross Society (BRCS) consists of 24 primary organizations with a total membership of 975 people.
Words of gratitude were expressed for cooperation and collaboration to the district authorities, public associations, organizations and institutions of the district, and volunteers.
Galina Zhelanova shared her experience of the regional organization's activities. She spoke about business initiatives, assistance to irregular migrants, and partner search. The work of first aid instructors was particularly noted.
The work of the BRCS regional organization was recognized as satisfactory. The current chairman, Natalia Ermashkevich, was unanimously elected as the head of the district BRCS organization by the attendees.
The conference concluded with an awards ceremony. For active work and significant contribution to achieving the goals and objectives of the BCRC, Galina Zhelanova presented Certificates of Honor of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Red Cross Society to the Chairman of the Presidium of the District Organization of the BCRC, Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Alexander Erashov, Presidium member, Chief Physician of the Central District Hospital Svetlana Roshchina, volunteer and first aid instructor Svetlana Kurbatskaya, and Presidium member, Deputy Head of the Education Department of the District Executive Committee Elena Karbovskaya.
Having thanked for the trust placed in them, the newly elected composition of the RO expressed hope for continued fruitful cooperation with the organizations of the district.
