Fire tragedy in Berezovsky district of Brest region: four children died in a fire
– A house is on fire in Yastrebeli, on Lesnaya Street, – a concerned eyewitness reported to the Berezovsky rescuers this afternoon. – A little girl said there were children inside. Adults are outside – there is one woman there.
Later, it was this woman who called the "101" hotline and anxiously reported that her four young children were trapped in the fiery inferno.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel promptly arrived at the scene. Fire was raging inside the house. Rescuers found four deceased children inside, aged from 2 months to 6 years. A 37-year-old woman (the mother of the deceased children) and her four-year-old daughter escaped the fire.
The fire destroyed the roof, ceiling, and property inside the house, and damaged the walls.
The cause of the incident is being established.
