"We wanted to see how girls and women envision this logo, how they represent it. Each could draw their own version based on intuition and feelings. We didn't set any specific parameters. We believed that Belarusian women themselves should propose a symbol for the current year," said Olga Shpilevskaya.

The winner of the contest was Evgenia Pogranichnaya, the leader of the youth wing of the Volkovysk district organization of the Belarusian Women's Union. She is a photographer who has previously presented several solo photo exhibitions.
