Drill of the evacuation plan and employee actions in case of fire

   Practice and experience are crucial in any endeavor. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has established a mandatory requirement for conducting fire evacuation plan drills within organizations. This requirement is in place to ensure that employees are as prepared as possible for unforeseen situations.
It often happens that people, finding themselves in an unnatural situation, behave unpredictably. The same applies to actions when a fire breaks out. Some people panic, start shouting, run around the office in circles, thereby worsening the situation for themselves and those around them – a chain reaction occurs. Others simply freeze in place and take no action to save themselves. Small children, when danger arises, hide under beds, desks in kindergartens, or in closets.
   To ensure that an emergency situation leads to fewer consequences for people, it is necessary to periodically develop certain skills. To practice the evacuation plan, the fire brigade must be involved. The training should begin with activating the fire alarm system. Upon the signal "Attention, fire, evacuate the premises according to the evacuation plan..." (the wording may vary, but the meaning is the same).
