A phone conversation between President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin took place on November 15. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The heads of state discussed the development of bilateral relations, including considering new promising projects. In particular, the presidents touched upon the issue of construction of a new power unit at the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant in Ostrovets.

Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin also discussed defense and security issues.

Separately, the heads of state discussed the situation that is developing on the border of the Union State.

The presidents agreed to discuss issues and topics of mutual interest in more detail in the near future – primarily during the upcoming CSTO summit in Bishkek at the end of November.
