Information products of the Telegram chat "BESHENKOVICHI yesterday today tomorrow" recognized as extremist by the Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office

The Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office analyzed the information messages posted in the Telegram chat "BESHENKOVICHI yesterday today tomorrow".

It was established that since the creation of the chat (02.12.2020) and up to the present, messages have been published aimed at organizing and carrying out mass riots, acts of vandalism involving damage or destruction of property, obstructing the lawful activities of state bodies, discrediting state authorities and administration, seizing or retaining power by unconstitutional means, as well as public calls and public justification of such actions.

Access to the specified resource could be obtained without hindrance or restrictions by any citizen using the Internet and the Telegram messenger.

The administration of this channel did not take systematic actions to block or counter publications of an extremist nature.

Based on the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Counteracting Extremism", the prosecutor of the Beshenkovichi District filed a statement with the court to recognize the information products of the Telegram chat "BESHENKOVICHI yesterday today tomorrow" as extremist materials.

The Beshenkovichi District Court granted the prosecutor's statement and allowed the immediate execution of the decision. A copy was sent to the Ministry of Information for inclusion in the republican list of extremist materials and blocking of the Internet resource contributing to the dissemination of extremist materials on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
