Information products of the Telegram channel "Belarusian Order" recognized as extremist by the statement of the Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office

The district prosecutor's office analyzed the information messages posted on the Telegram channel "Belarusian Order".

It was established that since its creation (14.06.2019) and up to the present, the specified Telegram channel has been publishing messages aimed at the violent change of the constitutional order of the Republic of Belarus, assisting in extremist activities, disseminating knowingly false information about the political, economic, military, and international situation of the Republic of Belarus, the legal status of citizens in the Republic of Belarus for these purposes, discrediting the Republic of Belarus, insulting a representative of authority in connection with the performance of his official duties for these purposes, discrediting state authorities and administration, inciting political and ideological hatred, disseminating extremist materials, financing extremist activities, public calls for the actions specified above, as well as public justification of such actions.

Access to the specified resource could be obtained without hindrance or restrictions by any citizen using the Internet and the Telegram messenger. The administration of this channel did not take systemic actions to block or counteract extremist publications.

Based on the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Counteracting Extremism", the prosecutor of Beshenkovichi District applied to the court with a statement to recognize the information products of the Telegram channel "Belarusian Order" as extremist materials.

The Beshenkovichi District Court granted the district prosecutor's application and allowed the immediate execution of the adopted decision. A copy of the court decision was sent to the Ministry of Information for inclusion in the republican list of extremist materials and blocking of the Internet resource contributing to the dissemination of extremist materials on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
