Preparation for the sowing campaign

In the Republic of Belarus, preparations for sowing are in full swing. In this regard, the technical condition of specialized vehicles used for fueling agricultural machinery causes particular concern. At the present time, one of the main tasks is to ensure that sowing operations are carried out in accordance with the requirements of current legislation to minimize possible risks.

To date, participants in the sowing campaign do not always comply with the requirements of regulatory legal acts, which may subsequently lead to accidents and incidents.

Therefore, we consider it relevant to remind representatives of dangerous goods carriers of the requirements for the transportation of flammable liquids.

The operation of vehicles used for the transport of dangerous goods is prohibited if:

- the vehicle has not passed

state technical inspection and not registered with the State Industrial Supervision or other state bodies;

- the certificate of vehicle admission for the carriage of dangerous goods is missing (or expired);

- the driver does not have an ADR certificate for driver training;

- there are defects in the frame, coupling device, tank body and their components, braking system, malfunctions of the automation system and/or emergency signaling system;

- the deadlines for tank inspections have been violated or the established deadline based on the results of technical diagnostics has expired;

- the requirements for marking application have been violated;

- changes in the tank design were made without the approval of the manufacturer, are missing

grounding devices on tanks;

- damage to the lids of loading hatches, their latches and sealing parts, leaks in pipeline and fitting connections, leaks through pump, valve, gate seals, gaskets of threaded connections, plugs and mechanical seals, leaks and losses of transported liquids (materials) through leaks in tank and hose connections.

For the transportation of flammable liquids, it is prohibited to use vehicles with gas engines, as well as tractors, tractor trailers and semi-trailers, and vehicles with tipper bodies.
