Assistant Prosecutor of Beshenkovichi District, Sergey Kiryanov, informed students of "Bocheikovskaya Secondary School" about the progress of the genocide criminal case investigation
Assistant Prosecutor Sergey Kiryanov addressed the students of "Bocheikovskaya Secondary School" and spoke about the progress of the genocide criminal case investigation.
Addressing those present, the Assistant Prosecutor noted that during the investigation, the prosecutor's office is uncovering more and more facts testifying to the systematic, purposeful, and brutal extermination of our people during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. This was a system of political, economic, and military measures aimed at liquidating the social and state system, plundering national wealth and resources, enslaving and destroying the population.
The extermination of civilians in the villages of Sloboda and Bortniki, Ulla, Ostrovno, as well as the urban settlement of Beshenkovichi itself, where about 6,000 people became victims, was accompanied by particular atrocities. The district prosecutor's office inspected all affected settlements during the war (burned villages), of which there are 111 in the district, with some of them being completely destroyed and never rebuilt after the war."
The village of Korenevo, burned along with its inhabitants, suffered a similar fate.
In the period from August to September of this year, near the village of Sloboda, in a previously unrecorded burial site discovered by the district prosecutor's office with the participation of the search unit of the 52nd separate specialized search battalion of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, a significant number of bone remains, bullets, casings, and personal belongings of the deceased were exhumed. According to archival data, approximately 350-365 civilians were killed at this location.
The Assistant Prosecutor also familiarized the schoolchildren with official reports and other archival documents, as well as the memoirs of prisoners and residents of the district, which are recorded and serve as further confirmation of the atrocities committed by the German-fascist invaders during the Great Patriotic War.
Inconclusion of the event, the children thanked the prosecutor's office employee for the speech. Such events will be continued.
