Water safety rules

Summer is coming soon. Both adults and children strive to use every fine day for outdoor recreation, near rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. Some go fishing, some go boating, some just swim. But all these types of recreation, while attractive, carry a potential threat to people.Analyzing the causes of accidents, two main ones can be identified: carelessness and recklessness of children, and consumption of alcoholic beverages by adults. It is proven that 90% of those who drowned knew how to swim but did not follow safety rules. Adults drown, and unfortunately, children drown. Moreover, as a long-term analysis has shown, in most cases, parents and adults are to blame for this. The lack of constant supervision on their part and the inability to provide first aid in case of an accident lead to irreparable tragedy.
To prevent this from happening, it is necessary to know and follow simple rules of behavior near and on the water.
We remind you of simple recommendations, the observance of which will help avoid tragedy:
- swim in designated areas.
- when resting by the water with the whole family, pay constant attention to children. They should not be out of sight for a minute. Children should only swim under adult supervision.
- under no circumstances should you swim while intoxicated. A drunk person loses self-control, their coordination of movements is impaired, which can lead to an accident.
- be careful when using a boat, catamaran, motorboat, or other floating device. Before getting into a boat, thoroughly check for the presence of life-saving equipment, do not overload it, and do not rock it while afloat.
- remember that your

The lives of your family and loved ones depend on your behavior and attention.
