District Executive Committee Chairperson Met with Communal Workers as Part of the Unified Information Day
The Unified Information Day is being held in Beshenkovichi District: an information and propaganda group led by the Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, Galina Unukovich, met with the work collective of the utility company "Beshenkovichi Communal Worker".
The focus was on issues that concern everyone: how to protect oneself and loved ones from cyber fraudsters, what to do in an emergency, how to avoid road injuries...
The head of the District Department of Internal Affairs, Valentin Smolyakov, delivered the main report. He elaborated on the most pressing threats that Belarusians face in their daily lives. Special attention was paid to cybersecurity.
Unfortunately, the number of cybercrimes in the country is growing annually and already accounts for more than a third of all registered crimes.
The main schemes used by fraudsters include fake online sales, vishing (calls impersonating officials), and theft through social networks. Valentin Smolyakov urged the meeting participants to be vigilant and critically assess any calls or messages from unknown numbers.
He also reminded them about road safety, especially during the summer period when the number of accidents involving children increases.
"Safety is not just a set of rules; it is the foundation of our daily lives. Each of us must clearly understand how to protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our property. Only by uniting the efforts of the authorities, work collectives, and each family can we make our district safe and prosperous," emphasized the head of the district, Galina Unukovich.
After discussing security issues, Galina Unukovich focused on the socio-economic development of the Beshenkovichi district. After all, people should know how the region lives today and what its prospects are.
