The discussion was attended by the head of the regional department Alexander Gutska, his deputies, and the prosecutor of the Vitebsk region Andrey Skurat, as well as the heads of structural and territorial investigative units. ThisIn 2025, more than 15.9 thousand criminal cases were under the proceedings of investigators of the Vitebsk region, with procedural decisions made in over 12 thousand of them. Property worth more than 28.2 million rubles was seized.

Based on inspection materials and criminal cases, over 2800 submissions were made to eliminate violations of the law, as well as the causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of crimes. As a result of their consideration, disciplinary and material measures were taken against 613 individuals. In 96.5% of cases, the causes and conditions for committing crimes were eliminated.

The Prosecutor of the Vitebsk Region, Andrey Skurat, emphasized the importance of close interaction between investigative bodies and the prosecutor's office, focusing on the need for impeccable adherence to criminal procedure legislation and strengthening control at the stage of receiving and registering crime reports.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Konstantin Bychek, outlined the directions of work for employees and thanked them for their contribution to the overall results.

"All employees of the Investigative Committee for the Vitebsk Region clearly understand where to direct efforts for a higher quality and more professional execution of the tasks set before the department, as the positive dynamics are evident. This indicates the potential for further growth. I thank each of you for your contribution to achieving positive work results," emphasized Konstantin Fedorovich.

At the end of the event, investigators who achieved high results in their official activities were awarded.

"I congratulate everyone on their well-deserved awards. It is gratifying that in the Year of Belarusian Women, a significant portion of the awardees are the fairer sex of our friendly team of the Investigative Committee. Thank you all for your work," noted the Head of the Department while presenting the awards.

Following the results of the work for 2025, the best investigators of the territorial investigative departments of the region were recognized as Elena Kolesnikova (Vitebsk City Department of the Investigative Committee), Alesya Lukashevich (Vitebsk District Department of the Investigative Committee), and Oksana Aglushevich (Shumilino District Department of the Investigative Committee). Among the investigators of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee, Evgeny Leonov became the best. Today, they received valuable gifts from the head of the Investigative Committee for the Vitebsk region, Alexander Gutska.

Following the results of official activities in 2025, the best departments were the Vitebsk District, Orsha Inter-district, and Shumilino District departments of the Investigative Committee.

After the meeting, the head of the regional department, Alexander Gutska, familiarized the Chairman of the Investigative Committee with the working conditions of the investigators.

The head of the department visited offices, a gym, the duty room, archives, as well as premises where memory and traditions are carefully preserved. The museum of the department's history contains exhibits that are historically significant for the department.

A special impression was made by the memorial site dedicated to the relatives of employees – participants of the Great Patriotic War, and the history room, which houses exhibits found on the battlefields of past wars during the "Memory Watch" search expeditions, in which investigators from the Vitebsk region participate. These are not just workspaces – here, history and the connection between generations are honored.
