Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency – a meeting of 8th and 9th grade students with District Prosecutor Andrey Starchenko was held at the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 1 of Beshenkovichi"
The District Prosecutor's Office regularly holds meetings with young students. The purpose of these events is quite simple – the prevention of juvenile delinquency. It is no secret that any crime or offense is easier to prevent than to eliminate its consequences. It should be noted that sometimes children commit thoughtless acts, the realization of which comes from the moment a criminal case is initiated or an administrative process begins.
One such meeting was held at the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 1 of Beshenkovichi" with 8th and 9th grade students.
During the meeting, the District Prosecutor drew attention to the current legislation of the Republic of Belarus regarding the protection of the rights and interests of minors. He elaborated on issues of responsibility for committing crimes and offenses, and to reinforce this, he provided examples of crimes and offenses committed in our district.
Given the current relevance, Andrey Starchenko also drew the children's attention to rules of conduct on the Internet. Cyber fraud (high-tech crimes) is gaining relevance, and in this regard, there are frequent cases where children are victims.
The District Prosecutor's Office reminds that bank employees cannot request confidential information from a bank card holder or make calls via the Viber messenger. You must not disclose your passport data, full card details, codes received on your phone number, or your login and password for Internet and mobile banking to anyone. Protect yourself and your loved ones. Immediately report all unlawful acts to the internal affairs bodies.
The District Prosecutor also spoke about the adverse effects of drug use on a teenager's body. It is no secret that everyone knows about the dangers of drug addiction, but often we do not always think about the consequences.
Thus, in the Republic of Belarus, responsibility for the illegal use and trafficking of narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, their analogues, and precursors is provided for by the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus and the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
