President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko heard reports from the Chairman of the Board of the National Bank Roman Golovchenko and the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences Vladimir Karanik on October 29. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The main topic of the report by the head of the National Bank was the refinement of the program for the socio-economic development of Belarus until 2030. A working group under the leadership of Roman Golovchenko is working on this, and the refined document is to be submitted to the President by November 1. The head of state was today informed about the main content of the program, the key industries and areas that are emphasized. The document is planned to be submitted for approval by the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the meeting of which will be held on December 18 and 19 of this year.

Another topic of Roman Golovchenko's report was the work on the practical implementation of the instructions given at the meeting of the President with the staff of the National Bank and the management of banks held in mid-September. In particular, the implementation of the task of greater involvement of the banking system in the economic development of the country. This includes the resource base and inflation issues.

The head of the National Bank also reported on the solutions developed for problematic issues within the competence of the National Bank. In particular, on topics that have public resonance and on appeals from Belarusians.

The Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences, Vladimir Karanyk, reported on the progress of the meeting preparation between the President and the scientific community. It was emphasized that the scientific sphere, among other things, should make a significant contribution to the implementation of the country's development tasks in the upcoming five-year period. The focus is on practice-oriented developments, strengthening the link between science and production, import substitution and increasing export potential, and mastering innovative directions in demand in the real sector.

The head of the NAS also informed the President about specific projects and developments on the topics of which the head of state had previously given instructions.
