The Belarusian leader drew attention to the dynamics of military threats and the significant increase in military spending by the country's western neighbors. According to the President, this necessitates constant and close attention to Belarus's defense capabilities, including within the framework of the Union State. For example, in June of this year, the head of the Belarusian state made a number of decisions regarding the further development of unmanned aerial vehicle systems, which are increasingly dominating the battlefield.

Alexander Lukashenko oriented the participants of the current event towards a serious discussion about the next steps in the development of rocket production in Belarus. "The meeting is dedicated to a serious issue – the modernization and development of rocket production in Belarus," he clarified.

It should be noted that the country has relatively limited experience in this complex industry, which was formed partly with the support of Russia. "Like unmanned aviation, this industry is relatively young for the military-industrial complex; we created it literally from scratch. We have achieved some things, some things did not work out or are not working out," Alexander Lukashenko remarked. "As in other sectors of the economy, we act as effectively as possible based on available financial resources. This is the primary factor."

At the meeting, according to the President, it is necessary to determine where and how to move forward in this direction, taking into account the forms and methods of warfare in modern conditions.

"This is also important in connection with my visit to the People's Republic of China and my conversation with PRC Chairman Xi Jinping (we have such a meeting planned). Why? Because we started or continued rocket production in close connection with the Chinese military-industrial complex, and now we have contacts," said Alexander Lukashenko.
