Prosecutor's Office of Beshenkovichi District: Information Products of the "Rodnaya mova" Community (Group) on the "VKontakte" Social Network Recognized as Extremist

The Prosecutor's Office of Beshenkovichi District monitored information posted in the "Rodnaya mova" community (group) on the "VKontakte" social network, with the identifier vk.com/rodnajamovabie (ID: club47371080), to identify violations of legislation in the field of combating extremism.

It was established that the information products of the specified Internet resource contain symbols and attributes of extremist nature, motivating citizens to participate in picketing, unauthorized events using unregistered white-red-white symbols.

The channel administration did not take systemic actions to block or counter extremist publications.

Due to the inaction of the channel administration, based on the Law of the Republic of Belarus of January 4, 2007, No. 203-Z "On Counteracting Extremism," the Prosecutor's Office of Beshenkovichi District prepared and submitted an application to the Beshenkovichi District Court to recognize the information products of the "Rodnaya mova" community (group) on the "VKontakte" social network as extremist materials.

On February 4, 2025, the Beshenkovichi District Court fully satisfied the prosecutor's application and allowed immediate execution of the adopted decision.

A copy of the court decision was sent to the Ministry of Information for inclusion in the republican list of extremist materials and for blocking Internet resources that contribute to the dissemination of such materials in the country.
