Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office sent a criminal case of property embezzlement by a group of persons to court

The Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office sent a criminal case to court concerning the embezzlement of property entrusted to a person, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy.
According to the case materials, employees of one of the district's organizations – local residents Ya. and L., being financially responsible persons, from May to October 2023, at their workplace, embezzled inventory items of the enterprise entrusted to them, amounting to over 4 thousand Belarusian rubles.After reviewing the materials of the criminal case, the district prosecutor's office concluded that the accusation was justified and the circumstances of the crime were objectively investigated. They agreed with the qualification of the actions of Ya. and L. under Part 2 of Article 211 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
The criminal case was handled by the Beshenkovichi District Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
The prosecutor, when sending the case to court, left unchanged the preventive measure applied to the accused in the form of a recognizance not to leave and proper conduct.
The district prosecutor explains that the sanction of Part 2 of Article 211 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus provides for punishment in the form of restriction of liberty for a term of two to five years or deprivation of liberty for a term of two to five years with or without a fine and with or without deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities.In this case, the amount of the fine is set within thirty to one thousand basic units.
