Prosecutor's Office of Beshenkovichi District: Detention Sanctioned in Case of Threats of Murder and Destruction of Property by a Generally Dangerous Method in Beshenkovichi
The Prosecutor of Beshenkovichi District sanctioned the application of a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention against L. – he is charged with threats of murder and destruction of property by a generally dangerous method, if there were grounds to fear their execution.
According to the case materials, previously convicted L. in early December of this year, in an apartment of a residential building in Beshenkovichi, while intoxicated during a quarrel, inflicted bodily harm with a knife on his mother E., uttering threats of murder and destruction of property in the apartment by a generally dangerous method, which E. perceived as real and feared their execution.
On this fact, the Beshenkovichi District Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus initiated a criminal case against L. under Article 186 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. Urgent investigative actions aimed at establishing all circumstances of the crime have been organized.
The District Prosecutor sanctioned the application of a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention, taking into account information about L.'s personality, the nature, and public danger of the act.
