Prosecutor's Office of Beshenkovichi District of Vitebsk Region Sent Criminal Case of Intentional Infliction of Grievous Bodily Harm Resulting in Death to Court

The Prosecutor's Office of Beshenkovichi District sent a criminal case of intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death in the urban settlement of Beshenkovichi, Vitebsk Region, to court.

According to the case materials, previously convicted 22-year-old T. in November last year, during an argument that arose between him and his drinking companion G., born in 1967, inflicted no less than ten traumatic blows to the head area.

G.'s death occurred at the scene from a closed craniocerebral injury, due to the development of edema and compression of the brain.

After reviewing the materials of the criminal case, the district prosecutor's office concluded that the charges were substantiated and the circumstances of the crime were objectively investigated. They agreed with the qualification of T.'s actions under Part 3 of Article 147 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

The criminal case was handled by the Beshenkovichi District Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

The prosecutor, when sending the case to court, left the previously applied preventive measure against the accused in the form of detention unchanged.
