The Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office demanded to ensure safe living and health conditions for citizens, including children

The Beshenkovichi Prosecutor's Office conducted an inspection of compliance with legislation aimed at ensuring safe living and health conditions for citizens, including children.

The results of the supervisory measures indicate that, despite the categorical requirements of Directive No. 1 of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated March 11, 2004, "On measures to strengthen public safety and discipline," sufficient measures in this direction are not always taken at an adequate level by the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee and other responsible entities, which creates an additional threat to people's lives and health.

Thus, during the inspection, facts of failure to take full and timely measures to ensure the safety of citizens during the swimming season were revealed.

In particular, during the inspection of places prohibited for swimming, facts of the absence of prohibitive signs ("No Swimming") were revealed.

For example, as of May 27, 2025, the specified prohibitive sign was absent in the area of the dam installed on the Krivinka River in the village of Starye Ranchitsy. At the same time, this place was previously used for swimming for a long period of time.

In addition, given the beginning of the holiday period, issues of ensuring safety by restricting access for unauthorized persons, including children, to abandoned and dilapidated buildings and structures require special attention.

At the same time, the supervisory measures carried out by the district prosecutor's office revealed numerous cases of failure to take full and timely measures in this direction.

For example, in the agro-town of Bocheikovo, on Pervomayskaya Street, there is a single-family residential building No. 35, which is in disrepair and access to which is not restricted.

In addition, the district prosecutor's office revealed facts of failure to take measures to prevent unauthorized persons from entering other currently unused buildings.

Thus, there is free access for citizens, including children, to abandoned buildings in the village of Dvor Nizgolovo, the village of Sokorovo (the former club building), and the agro-town of Bocheikovo (near the State Educational Institution "Bocheikovo Secondary School of Beshenkovichi District named after M.A. Vysogorets").

Based on the revealed violations, on June 12, 2025, the district prosecutor's office submitted a representation to the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee, demanding the adoption of a set of organizational and practical measures aimed at eliminating the identified violations of legislation and taking measures to ensure safe living and health conditions for citizens, including children.
