Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office: Information products of the YouTube channel "ChestnOK-live" recognized as extremist
The Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office conducted a monitoring of information posted on the "ChestnOK-Live" channel on the "YouTube" video hosting service, which has the identifier https://www.youtube.com/@chestnok_live, to identify violations of legislation in the field of combating extremism.
It was established that the information products of the aforementioned Internet resource are aimed at promoting extremist activities and disseminating extremist materials.
The channel administration did not take systemic actions to block or counter extremist publications.
Based on the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Counteracting Extremism", the Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office prepared and submitted an application to the Beshenkovichi District Court to recognize the information products of the named YouTube channel as extremist.
On April 10, 2024, the Beshenkovichi District Court fully satisfied the prosecutor's application and allowed the immediate execution of the adopted decision.
A copy of the court decision was sent to the Ministry of Information for inclusion in the republican list of extremist materials and for blocking Internet resources that contribute to the dissemination of such materials in the country.
