Planned monitoring of religious sites was carried out
From April to May 2021, the inspection and prevention department of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations conducted scheduled monitoring of compliance with fire safety legislation, including mandatory requirements of technical regulatory legal acts for fire safety regulation and standardization of religious facilities located (registered) in the territory of the Beshenkovichi District.
The following activities were studied:
Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God (village of Pridvinye);
Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (agro-town of Svecha, Shkolnaya Street);
Church of
Saint Blessed Alexander Nevsky (Martynovo village);Church of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker (Slobodka village)
during which it was established that the church buildings are not in use due to the need for major repairs caused by the collapse of parts of walls, roofs, etc., and in some cases are completely destroyed to the foundation.
Upon studying the activities of:

The temple buildings and the adjacent territory were inspected. It was established that the established fire safety regulations are being observed at the sites. The questioning of clergy members revealed that they possess sufficient knowledge of the rules for using primary fire extinguishing means, actions in case of fire, calling fire and rescue services, etc.
At the same time, the following violations were identified, which, as practice shows, are characteristic of all sites: "General fire safety requirements for the maintenance and operation of capital structures (buildings, structures), isolated premises and other objects belonging to subjects
"economic activity" approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 23.11.2017 No. 7 "On the Development of Entrepreneurship" (hereinafter referred to as the general requirements) of both operational and capital nature:the required type and quantity of primary fire extinguishing means are not determined, due to which the facilities are not fully equipped with fire extinguishing means;
evacuation plans for people in case of fire require correction, and in some cases are completely absent;
doors located on evacuation routes are in most cases locked with locks that cannot be opened without a key;
there are no stands with fire safety information.
From the measures to eliminate the non-compliance of the requirements of technical regulatory legal acts and their structural elements forming the system of fire prevention regulation and standardization, to be eliminated at the discretion of economic entities, in accordance with paragraph 3.5 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 23.11.2017 No. 7, it was revealed:
rooms are not
equipped with an automatic fire alarm system with a notification transmission device to the fire automation dispatch center;the height of thresholds in doorways on the evacuation route from premises is not more than 0.06 m, etc.
Based on the results of monitoring, recommendations have been handed over to the managers, which indicate specific fire safety violations and the deadlines for their elimination.
