Joint raid activities conducted on potentially hazardous sites in Beshenkovichi District

The Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office, together with the Beshenkovichi District Department of Emergency Situations, monitored the state of work on the implementation of legislation on preventing child deaths from external causes. During the monitoring, sites included in the list of potentially hazardous sites approved by the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee were inspected, and other sites posing a danger to minors were identified.

Two two-story multi-apartment residential buildings on Sovetskaya Street in the agro-town of Verkhovye were included in the passport of potentially hazardous sites and places for minors to stay on the territory of the Verkhovsky Village Council. From the road side, the windows of the lower floors of both houses are boarded up. However, from the courtyard side, access to these houses is not restricted. The staircases in the houses are in disrepair, the brickwork of the walls has significant cracks, and openings have formed in the floor covering.

In the agro-town of Verkhovye, near residential buildings, there is also a building of an unfinished kindergarten. The premises inside the specified structure are in disrepair, the bricks from which the walls are built are crumbling, there are cavities between the concrete slabs (some up to three meters deep and up to a meter wide), the building also has a large number of staircases not equipped with handrails, which creates a threat of falling from a height of at least two meters, however, there is free access to all premises of the building, which poses a threat to the life and health of citizens. There are obvious facts of repeated unauthorized entry into empty premises, as evidenced by the presence of garbage and empty alcohol bottles.

During a visit to a two-story sixteen-apartment residential building in the village of Zabelie, it was found that there is free access to the premises of the building, and the windows are not boarded up. A visual inspection revealed that the ceilings are dilapidated, the roof is rotten in places, its further destruction is possible, there are cracks in the walls, and bricks are falling out. Residents throw household waste into the rooms through the window openings. The abandoned house is located in close proximity to residential buildings, while 68 people permanently reside in the village of Zabelie, 5 of whom are under 15 years old.

The administrative building located on Tsentralnaya Street in the village of Plissy is included in the passport of potentially hazardous sites. During the visit, it was found that the abandoned building is located in the center of the village (population - 100 people, 6 of whom are minors), near residential buildings, and can be freely accessed through the windows of the first floor and the doorway. The walls, ceilings, and especially the openings in the walls are in disrepair, some ceilings are damaged, and bricks and building structures are crumbling. In addition, during the inspection of the premises, it was found that this building is a place for drinking alcoholic beverages, which is confirmed by a significant number of empty alcohol bottles.

During the monitoring, quarries in the Beshenkovichi District were also inspected. Thus, during the inspection of the intra-farm quarry in the village of Sloboda, it was found that the edges are not brought into a safe condition, some slopes have a sheer height, which causes their spontaneous crumbling into the quarry, which in turn poses a threat to the life and health of citizens. There are no warning signs about the danger of being in the quarry, which indicates a clear disregard for safety requirements.
