Handling Citizen Appeals in the District Prosecutor's Office

Close attention is paid to handling citizen appeals in the Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office. In 2018, the Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office received 97 written appeals from citizens. Compared to the same period last year, the number of appeals increased by 49.2%.

More appeals were received concerning: compliance with legislation during administrative proceedings, housing legislation, land legislation, as well as actions and decisions of investigators and inquiry bodies.

An analysis of the reasons for the increase in certain appeals showed that out of 16 appeals received regarding compliance with legislation during administrative proceedings by officials of the Beshenkovichi District Department of Internal Affairs, 6 challenged decisions on imposing administrative penalties, 3 challenged decisions on terminating administrative proceedings, and 7 challenged the actions of officials of the body conducting administrative proceedings.

Out of 9 appeals concerning compliance with labor legislation, 8 raised issues of payment of average earnings during annual leave, final settlement upon dismissal, and wages, while 1 expressed disagreement with an imposed disciplinary penalty.

In 2018, the district prosecutor's office conducted 2 inspections of compliance with legislation on appeals from citizens and legal entities: in the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee, and the State Institution "Beshenkovichi District Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology". Issues of compliance with the specified legislation were also studied at the Unitary Communal Enterprise "Beshenkovichi Kommunalnik".

Based on the results of the inspection activities, the district prosecutor's office submitted 3 representations on eliminating violations of legislation on citizen appeals, and at the prosecutor's request, 13 employees of the aforementioned organizations were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
