Location:locations: Gnezdilovo village, 500 m southeast.
Coordinates: 55.109687 29.744665
Established in 1966, reconstructed in 2023.
The monument is a monumental military memorial (authors: sculptor Gvozdikov A.N., architects Mikhailyukov A.D., Orlovsky G.S.), which combines the events of 1941 and 1944. The memorial consists of a central stele – a massive dominant in the form of two bayonets reaching upwards – a symbol of two fronts, two united armies. On the stele is the silhouette of the Order of the Patriotic War, symbolizing the defeat of the enemy group. On the axis of the composition of the stele, below the Order of the Patriotic War, there are plaques with the text: "Glory to the soldiers of the Red Army". In the central part of the memorial, a pedestal with a wreath rises, symbolizing the military feats of Soviet soldiers. To the left, on a reinforced concrete pedestal, there is a SU-100 self-propelled artillery mount, in front of which an information plaque is attached with embossed lettering: "SU-100 – a Soviet anti-tank self-propelled artillery mount of the World War II period, a tank destroyer class".
A concrete wall (information stand) is part of the unified monumental composition. The text to the right of the stele provides brief information about a significant historical event – the joining of two fronts and the destruction of the enemy group: "On June 25, 1944, during Operation Bagration, troops of the 43rd Army of the 1st Baltic Front and the 39th Army of the 3rd Belarusian Front joined in this area, closing the encirclement ring around the Vitebsk enemy group."
The text on the wall to the left of the stele provides information about the events of 1941, a tank battle between units of the 14th and 18th tank divisions of the 7th Mechanized Corps of the Red Army and the 7th tank division of the Wehrmacht, which was part of the 39th Motorized Corps of General Goth's 3rd Panzer Group: "Eternal memory to the soldiers of the 14th Tank Division who fell in battles for the Motherland in July 1941."
