Republican Subbotnik Held in Vitebsk Region

A Republican Subbotnik was held in the Vitebsk region. A detailed report from Vitebsk News.

Activists from the structural divisions of the Vitebsk regional organization of the LDPB took part in the Republican Subbotnik, where they tidied up the roadside areas of the streets in their cities and towns, recreational parks, and courtyards.

The labor force of the Liberal Democrats of Belarus collected approximately 46 (forty-six) 200-liter bags of garbage, performed sanitary pruning of trees and shrubs, and painted curbs, benches, and elements of street decor.

Igor Teplyakov: Our party strives to constantly hold various events for landscaping and tidying up the land. We do not want to stand aside and, with understanding, make our feasible, voluntary contribution to the improvement of our streets, courtyards, coastal areas, and parks, making them cleaner, cozier, and more beautiful. Our work for the benefit of society also serves as a positive, visible example for every citizen of our country and, importantly, for our growing younger generation! And in the year of landscaping, this is especially atmospheric, relevant, and more than timely!

The staff of the administration of the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk, the Vitebsk regional tax inspectorate, the Oktyabrsky district tax inspectorate of Vitebsk, the education department, and educational institutions, under the leadership of the head of administration Vladimir Beleevich, tidied up the Park of the Soviet Army (Mazurino) today as part of the Republican Subbotnik.

The Republican Subbotnik (volunteer clean-up day) united the residents of Dubrovno, young and old, in their endeavor to tidy up their native land. Residents of Dubrovno and rural settlements are engaged in cleaning up territories, clearing brushwood, and tidying up military burial sites and the grounds of enterprises and organizations.

The subbotnik is proceeding fruitfully in the Tolochin District. Order is being restored throughout the town and in rural settlements – streets, yards, cultural facilities, military burial sites, and the grounds of organizations and institutions are being cleaned. Labor collectives, schoolchildren, and town residents are actively involved.

The Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee worked at the construction site of the new surgical building of the regional clinical hospital during the Republican Subbotnik.

The Sharkovshchina District joined the Republican Subbotnik. Employees of all enterprises and organizations are working at various sites. The district executive committee's active members, together with the Iodsky rural council, employees of organizations and institutions located within its territory, and the youth, are landscaping the agro-town of Iody.

The leadership of the Beshenkovichi District is working in the Komsomol Park, planning the territory.

Collectives of the Dokshitsy District Executive Committee and the District Council of Deputies are tidying up the "Khodorovka" memorial complex.

As part of the Republican Subbotnik, structural divisions of the district executive committee, led by the Chairman of the Sennensky District Executive Committee Oleg Makarevich and the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Mikhail Vilyugo, are landscaping the territory of the Park of the 40th Anniversary of Victory.

Employees of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee, the Departments for Labor, Employment and Social Protection, Agriculture and Food, the Financial Department, the Design Bureau, and the Central Regional Hospital are tidying up the city square.

The staff of the administration of the Zheleznodorozhny district of Vitebsk, under the leadership of the head of administration Alexander Sysoev, together with representatives of the work collectives of OJSC "Dolomit", GUO "Kindergarten No. 10", GUO "Kindergarten No. 19" are cleaning up the Ruba microdistrict.

Employees of the Vitebsk Culture Center enthusiastically participated in the republican subbotnik. They carried out cleaning in the branches of the institution, improved the adjacent territories, and also tidied up the graves of their colleagues. And in the Park named after the Soviet Army, servicemen of the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade joined the employees in cleaning up.

The funds earned on the day of the subbotnik, including at workplaces, will go towards the construction of the National Historical Museum of Belarus.

As reported earlier, on February 5, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 50, which provides for the construction of the National Historical Museum of Belarus, the Park of People's Unity, and the creation of a permanent museum exhibition in the Orlovskaya Street area in Minsk in 2025-2027. The museum has been granted the status of an All-Belarusian Youth Construction project, in which young people under 31 years of age can participate, including as part of student teams. The new building is designed in the shape of the map of Belarus.
