As of March 1, 2023, requirements for ensuring environmental safety in the operation of wastewater treatment facilities discharging into the environment are established

As of March 1, 2023, environmental norms and rules EcoNiP 17.06.06-005-2022 "Environmental Protection and Nature Management. Hydrosphere. Requirements for ensuring environmental safety in the operation of wastewater treatment facilities discharging into the environment" come into force.

EcoNiP 17.06.06-005-2022 establishes requirements for ensuring environmental safety in the operation of mechanical, biological, and physicochemical wastewater treatment facilities, including the efficiency of removing pollutants from wastewater during treatment, as well as facilities for treating wastewater sludge.

Please note that the requirements of these EcoNiP are mandatory for legal entities and individuals, including individual entrepreneurs, when carrying out economic and other activities related to the operation of wastewater treatment facilities discharging into the environment.
