The purpose of this campaign is to reduce the number of fires caused by citizens' non-compliance with fire safety rules in residential buildings and structures, settlements and territories, including rural areas. Participants of the campaign will visit the homes of single elderly citizens and disabled people, families with children in a socially dangerous situation, and will provide explanations and recommendations to homeowners on improving fire safety in their homes. During the campaign, joint raids, information exchange, and meetings with work collectives and the public are planned. In addition, anyone can contact the district emergency department to inspect the fire safety of their property.

Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, the responsibility for compliance with fire safety requirements in residential buildings owned by citizens in private ownership rests with their owners. Check the operability of autonomous fire detectors, and in their absence, install them in the living quarters of the household. Pay attention to the serviceability of heating equipment and electrical wiring. Do not leave children unattended by adults and do not allow children to play with fire. Observe fire safety rules when lighting bonfires and do not leave them unattended. Do not throw unextinguished matches and cigarette butts into dry grass and do not allow the burning of dry vegetation. Remember: careless handling of fire leads to the death of people and destruction of property.

By tradition, other prevention entities will also take part in the campaign. As is known, the effectiveness of any activity lies in common interest and interaction. So let's all do our best for our safety!
