A fine of up to 30 base units can be imposed for walking a dog without a muzzle
As noted by the Beshenkovichi District Department of Internal Affairs, according to the Rules for keeping domestic animals, the following may walk on a leash without a muzzle: puppies up to three months of age, as well as decorative breed dogs whose height is up to 25 centimeters at the withers.
▪️In case of violation of the Rules, the animal owner is subject to administrative liability. This may be a warning or a fine from 1 to 15 basic units.
If, during a walk, a domestic animal without a muzzle caused harm (bit a passerby, tore a jacket, or damaged the health and property of a passerby), the measure of liability ranges from 10 to 30 basic units, and if the passerby was seriously injured, the owner faces administrative arrest or community service.
In this case, the owner of the domestic animal is obliged to pay monetary compensation to the victim, the amount of which will be determined by the court.
