The Young Rescuers and Firefighters Gathering was held in Beshenkovichi

Traditionally, once a year, young rescuer-firefighters of the Beshenkovichi district gather in one place to showcase their skills and observe others. This year was no exception, as on April 12, Secondary School No. 1 of the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi hosted teams from schools in the district.

The event began with a general formation and the solemn opening of the rally.

The first challenge for the young rescuers was the "Formation Review" competition. The participants demonstrated their drill skills to the jury in formation, chanting slogans and singing drill songs in unison.

In the "Connoisseurs" competition, participants were required to answer 30 questions related to life safety within 20 minutes. In the "Fire Crossfit" competition, the participants demonstrated their firefighting skills, speed, and agility. The participants carried out combat deployment and put on firefighter rescue gear at speed.

All stages were monitored by jury members: they tracked every drill step of the young rescuers, checked the correct connection of firefighting equipment, and the accuracy in donning combat gear.

Next, the event took a different turn.

It turns out that rescue firefighters not only eliminate emergencies and promote safety rules, but also participate in public life and artistic events. The children had the opportunity to express themselves creatively; each team was given a homework assignment to prepare a creative musical performance about youth and their activities in promoting safety, as well as a video on fire safety. During the competitions, activists danced, sang, acted out scenes, recited safety rules, and demonstrated pre-prepared educational videos.

Finally, the jury was ready to draw the finish line, dispelling the suspense over the teams.

A certificate for 3rd place was awarded to the team from Secondary School No. 1.

2nd place was taken by the team from the Educational Institution "Beshankovich Gymnasium-Boarding School".

And, as per tradition, the winning team was from Secondary School No. 2. All prize-winners received awards.

Similar events have been and will continue to be organized by MES employees among young people with the aim of broadly engaging students in learning the fundamentals of safe living, promoting safety rules, and encouraging participation in fire sports.
